Dear Friends at 5C:
It is in November, the US presidential election is just around the corner. Many Americans have already casted their votes, but the final result may not be immediately available on Tuesday night if elections in the swing states are too close to call. Perhaps this is one of the most important elections in our lifetime. Please pray for our nation to have a peaceful election this year, American people have suffered enough from all the troubles this year. If you haven’t casted your vote, please do so in person tomorrow. We would like to see all of us to exercise our political right in this free land.
Our church plans to have a testimony Sunday on Nov 22 to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Although there are so many misfortunes this year, we are still witnessing God’s faithfulness in our lives. If you would like to share a testimony, please contact Pastor Chen to reserve a spot. In order to accommodate as many people as possible, each person may only have five minutes to speak during worship. Therefore, a limited number of people are able to share on Sunday, perhaps no time is allocated for anyone who wants to share on the scene. We look forward to your stories on this special Sunday.
After talking with a few church leaders, we decided to combine Monday’s and Thursday’s prayer meetings into once a week prayer meetings on Thursday night. Starting this week, Annie Shi-Mu and Anderson will lead this prayer meeting alternatively. Praise the Lord that during the last few months many members are actively participating in these meetings to pray for the church and share their spiritual journey. I believe that this life-together experience will leave a legacy in our church history. You all are encouraged to join this Zoom meeting online every Thursday.
Thanks to your prayers! Shimin Quintel reserved a ticket to fly back to China on Dec 15. So did Sophia Bai’s mother and sister on the same flight. Hope that they will have a non-eventful journey home. Please continue to pray for Anderson, the procedure on Friday was successful , but he may need a few more days to recover. Lydia Anderson has to undergo radiation treatment before a scheduled surgery to remove a brain tumor. May the Lord grant her strength to go through a series of treatments. Your prayer for our sister is highly appreciated.

- We will continue the sermon series “Guidance of the Holy Spirit” this Sunday
- The deacon board will have a monthly meeting at 1:00pm this Sunday 11/8
- A sister’s group led by Bianca Lin and Hong Cao plans to have their first meeting soon.
- We plan to have a testimony Sunday during Thanksgiving worship on Nov 22.

教會計劃在 11 月 22 日的主日分享見證慶祝感恩節。儘管今年是一個多災之年,但我們仍在見證上帝的信實。如果您想分享見證,請聯繫陳牧師。為了使盡可能多的人分享見證,每個人的發言限制在五分鐘內。因為主日能夠分享見證的人數有限,可能沒有時間分配給希望現場臨時發言的朋友。我們期待這個特殊主日聆聽您的故事。
在與教會領袖商討後,我們決定將週一與週四的禱告會合併為一次,於每週四晚上舉行。從本週開始,裴師母和林恩深弟兄將輪流帶領週四的禱告會。感謝主,在過去的幾個月中,許多成員積極參加這些聚會,為教會祈禱並分享他們的屬靈旅程。我相信,這種生命分享的經歷將在我們教會的歷史中留下精彩的一頁。希望大家積極通過 ZOOM 參與每週四的線上禱告會。
感謝您的祈禱!馮石敏姐妹已經預定了 12 月 15 日飛往中國的機票。白燕姐妹的母親和妹妹也在同一航班上。希望他們旅途平安。請繼續為林恩深弟兄祈禱,週五的手術很成功,但他仍需幾天才能康復。馮慶芳姐妹必須接受定期放射治療。請繼續為她祈禱,願主賜予她力量進行接下來一系列的治療。
