Genesis 1:1-5 Day 1; God Prepares Life Giving Water & Light
OUR GREAT NEED FOR HUMILITY & UNDERSTANDING
“A Little Science estranges men from God, but much science leads them back to Him” (Louis Pasteur). We must distinguish the “little science” that comes from the biased public media, or ‘theories’ of biased ‘scientists’ with predetermined ‘materialistic,’ ‘humanistic’ or ‘atheistic’ agendas…From proven “Truth” that never contradicts God’s Word.
Universally accepted Scientific Facts are often proven wrong in 1 generation. Samuel Arbesman in The Half-Life of Facts reveals the pattern of decay of facts in all major scientific disciplines. After 50 years only 25% of scientific articles were still considered fully factual.
The Theory of Evolution contradicts Genesis 1 & 2 in 30 details. 50% of Scientists are atheists. If you ‘reject’ God & His Truth you are open to deception (2 Thess. 2:10-12; Rom. 1:20-22; Ps. 14:1). The 2 Main sources of error are revealed by Jesus in Matt. 22:29 & Mk. 12:24.
Empirical Sciences (Hard science) help protect against deception because they can be objectively tested & proven to a high degree of statistical certainty. Such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering, Microbiology, etc [these involve reproducible Experiments].
Historical Sciences (Soft science): some Geology, anthropology, evolutionary Biology [Often relies on untestable assumptions!] i.e. “age of the earth; man evolved from apes; vestigial organs, etc.”
The empirical sciences have been proving many assumptions (educated guesses) of the soft sciences to be wrong! In the book Mathematical Challenges to the Neo-Darwinian Interpretation of Evolution, edited by Paul S. Moorhead, Engineers with ‘hard’ statistics showed Darwinian evolution could not work!
THE HUMBLING POWER OF DIVINE DESIGN
I always wondered why God put the following verse in the Bible: “Every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God” (Heb 3:4; Prov. 24:3; Jer. 10:11-15). So we could see just how irrational many ‘scientists’ have become when they deny that Heaven & earth are specifically designed for human life! [anthropic principle].
The LAW of Cause & Effect tells us there are only 2 Possible causes for the incredible fine tuning of the Universe for life:
It could be the Result of intelligent design – this is testable Truth
Or it could be the Result of mindless chance – an assumed theory.
Let’s study God’s Word & see which makes more sense.
(Gen 1:1-4) “In the beginning God created the heaven & the earth.
(2) & the earth was without form, & void; & darkness was upon the face of the deep. & the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
(Ps. 95:3-5; 33:7). (3) & God said, Let there be light: & there was light.
(4) And God saw the light, that it was good: & God divided the light from the darkness.” This is the light of God’s “Shekinah Glory” (Ps. 104:2; I Tim 6:16; Related to Christ: Matt. 17:2; Act 9:3, 5: 26:13).
LIFE CHANGING LESSONS FROM LIGHT!
God Brings Order out of Chaos; Light out of Darkness

How Profound! (Isa. 60:1-2; John 12:46; Act 26:18; Eph. 5:8; I Pet. 2:9). God Brings Light & Glory out of our Darkness.
(2Cor. 4:6) “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (Eph. 1:17; 5:8; 2 Cor. 3:18; Isa. 60:1-3; I John 2:9). Oh Friends, will you let the light of Christ shine into your heart? The Light comes to us as we study God’s Word (Ps. 119:105, 130)
Why Does God bring Light (1:3) & Life (1:11) Before He makes the Sun, Moon & stars (1:14-6)?
1. To Strengthen our faith for the New Heaven & Earth where there is light & life without the Sun again! (Rev. 21:25; 22:5; Isa. 60:19-20)
Are you excited about your future or has the Devil robbed you of your hope through “science falsely so called” (2 Tim.6:20)
2. So we never worship the sun as a god! Or fall victim to superstitions that the stars control our life (Deut. 18:10-14; 4:19; Job 31:26-28; Isa. 47:12-14; I Chron. 10:13; Acts 19:19)
This Light is inseparable from The LORD Jesus Christ
Jesus said: “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12; 1:4-9; 9:5; 12:46). This is a supernatural light! Light & Darkness become powerful metaphors used throughout the Bible! (Joh 12:35; Isa. 9:2; Isa. 60:1-3; Matt. 4:14-16; Lk. 1:78-79; Act 13:47; 26:23; Col. 1:13)
Darkness becomes a metaphor of evil (Eph. 6:12: John 3:20-21; Acts 26:18; Rom. 1:21; 2 Cor. 6:14; I Pet. 2:9; I John 2:8).
Light is a metaphor of good! (Eph. 5:8-13; John 12:35-36; Isa. 9:2; Isa. 60:1-3; Matt. 4:14-16; Lk. 1:78-79; Acts 13:47; 26:23; Eccl. 2:13)
God eventually & eternally divides those who walk in the light (I John 1:7; Job 33:28; Isa. 60:2; Eph 5:8; Rev. 21:24) from those who walk in the darkness ( 2Pet. 2:17; Jude 1:10-13; John 3:19)
THE DESIGNER’S FINGERPRINT ON HIS CREATION
The 1st Revelation of the Trinitarian Nature of God
(Gen. 1:1) In the beginning God created the heaven & the earth. (2) And the Spirit of God moved ….” (3) “And God said… (The Word of God –John 1:1-3). We have the will of God; expressed by the Word of God; executed by the Spirit of God. “God” is the Hebrew plural of “El” (Elohim). Normally the accompanying verbs are in the singular form to indicate one true God. (i.e. “created” is singular)
Sometimes Plural Pronouns Reveal the Trinitarian Nature of the 1 true God: (Gen 1:26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” “Us” includes God the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19). (Gen 3:22) And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us.” “Us” must refer to the 1 triune God for God does not take council from anyone else (Isa. 40:13-14; Rom. 11:34-36). (Gen 11:7) “… let us go down, & there confound their language”
JESUS CHRIST IS THE CREATIVE “WORD OF GOD”
“In the beginning was the Word, & the Word was with God, & the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him…” (Jn. 1:1-3; I Cor. 8:6; Heb. 1:2)
After Christ’s Resurrection it easy to go Back & Find Him in Genesis (Rom. 1:1-4; John 17:5). “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth” (Col. 1:16; Eph. 3:9; Rom. 11:36)
The 1st Revelation of the Holy Spirit as the 3rd Person of the Trinity:
(Gen 1:2) … the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” There is an intimate relationship between the physical & spiritual realms! Many Scriptures Reveal the Trinity of Father, Son & Holy Spirit in Unity:
Isa. 48:16; 61:1; Zech. 12:9-10; Matt. 3:16; 28:19; Mk. 1:9-11; Lk. 1:35; John 1:32-34; 14:16, 26; 15:26; Acts 2:33; Rom. 1:1-4; 8:9-11; I Cor. 12:4-6; 2 Cor. 3:17-18; 13:14; Gal. 4:6; Eph. 1:17; 2:18; 4:4-6; Phil. 3:3; 2 Thess. 2:13-14; Titus 3:4-6; Heb. 9:14; I Pet. 1:2; I John 5:6-7, 20.
GOD’S CREATION REFLECTS HIS TRINITARIAN NATURE
(read Rom 1:20). The Universe is Space, Matter & Time; SPACE is Length, width & Depth; MATTER is Liquid, Solid & Gas; TIME is Past, Present & Future; Electricity is Positive, Negative & Neutral; Places are Heaven, Hell & Earth; The GODHEAD is Father, Son & Holy Spirit; & MAN is Soul (Gen. 1:27; 2:7); Body (Gen. 2:7,22) & Spirit (Zech. 12:1)
THE DISIGNER & THE WONDER OF WATER
Water is so Important to both Physical & Spiritual Life each Member of the Trinity is Associated with it. God the Father (Jer. 2:13; 17:3; Rev. 22:1); God the Son (John 4:14; Rev. 21:6; 22:1); God the Holy Spirit (Isa. 44:3; John 7:38-39; Rev. 22:17).
God the Son was there at the Creation of “the waters” (Prov. 30:4).
The Trinitarian Water molecule is uniquely Designed for Life. It’s an exception to the Laws of expansion/contraction so ice forms on the surface. Water has a “Triple Point.” A temperature & pressure at which it exists simultaneously as solid – liquid – gas! There are reasons the Trinitarian God likens himself to “living waters” (Jer. 2:13; 17:13; Ps. 36:9; John 4:14; 7:37; Rev. 21:6; 22:1, 17). How amazing this is?
Where did all this Miraculous Water Come from? Evolution’s Theory (Soft Science): The Smithsonian Magazine, May, 2013 says it came from outer space via comets & asteroids. Major Problem: there is 1.3 billion cubic km of water on earth & would take 11 trillion meteorites to deliver that much water! It would take 2,400 meteorite strikes every year for 4.6 billion years! Wikipedia only confirms 190 meteor craters
God has Incredibly Fine Tuned the Universe for Life! The Hard Sciences discovered over 150 Parameters necessary for Life! Irrefutable “Hard” evidence for DESIGN. Design requires a Designer! That is the conclusion of a sound rational mind! But scientist Richard Dawkins says: ‘things give the appearance of being designed for a purpose but we must remember they are not designed’ [How irrational can you get?].
THE DESIGNER & THE GLORY OF LIGHT
(Gen 1:3) “God said, Let there be light: & there was light”
Light is Trinitarian in Nature & reflects the Glory of the Trinitarian God. It consists of 3 kinds of rays: 1. Electromagnetic rays: invisible, neither felt nor seen. 2. Visible light: seen but not felt. 3. Heat rays: felt but not seen. Light sometimes acts like a nonmaterial wave (John 20:19, 26; Lk. 24:31; Act 1:9) & sometimes like a solid substance (Lk. 24:39) like when Jesus, the light of the World, “became flesh” (John 1:14)!
Each Member of the Trinity inseparable from “The Light”
The Father is my light (Ps. 27:1); Jesus is the Light (John 8:12; 1:9; 3:19-21); The Holy Spirit “enlightens us” (Dan. 5:11; Eph. 1:17-18).
(Gen 1:5) “And God called the light Day, & the darkness he called Night. & the evening & the morning were the first day.”
All you need to get morning & evening [without the sun] is Light coming from one direction shining on a rotating earth (Job 38:12, 14)
This light in Gen. 1:3, 5 comes from God “who dwells in the light which no man can approach unto” (I Tim. 6:16; Ps. 104:2; I John 1:5) except those who have been Redeemed by Jesus Christ (Rev. 22:5). Come to the Light of Christ & catch a glimpse of your glorious eternity!
The atheistic Scientists trying to indoctrinate you with their “soft” science & ‘educated’ guesses can only offer you eternal darkness! [that’s according to their own words!]. Who will you choose to believe?
